Isis, the mobile payments venture backed by three of the four largest mobile operators in the US, will work on multiple operating systems including Android, according to one of its leading executives interviewed by PCMag. Google, which developed the Android OS, this week launched its Google Wallet service, a rival to Isis which plans to launch in 2012.  “It’s safe to say that when Isis launches we’ll have multiple payment networks, multiple issuers, multiple handsets, multiple operating systems, multiple manufacturers,” said Jaymee Johnson, head of marketing with Isis. He confirmed the operating systems would include Android.
