Philippine operator Globe is waiving the charge for sending money via GCash until the end of the year – the move is in celebration of the popular service’s tenth anniversary.

With the offer, which is called GCash Libre Pera Padala, customers can save PHP1 ($0.02) each time they use the service.

Customers who use GCash to transfer money to a fellow GCash user will also have the chance to win a new Samsung Galaxy S5.

Customers need to register and have sufficient GCash in their account to be able to participate. Meanwhile, they can also fund a GCash wallet by cashing-in via GCash partner outlets (including Globe Stores, SM Department Stores, Puregold, Villarica, Tambunting, Rural Banks.), mobile phone banking, online bank transfer, BancNet ATMs, and BPI branches nationwide.

GCash customers can send money using their mobile phones by dialing *143# free for Globe and TM subscribers, via the GCash mobile app or via GCash online.
