Dow Jones Newswires reports that Zain Saudi Arabia said its second-quarter net loss narrowed to SAR448 million (US$119.5 million), from SAR632 million a year ago, as the heavily-indebted telco added subscribers. The company attributed its improved second-quarter performance to an expanding customer base, which exceeded nine million customers, through new services, packages and marketing plans. It aims to achieve a total revenue of more than SAR8 billion by the end of 2011.
