Telecompaper reports that Russian WiMAX specialist Yota has announced that, together with its partner Samsung, it has commenced testing of the next version of mobile WiMAX technology: Release 2.0 (IEEE 802.16m standard). The firm plans to start installing WiMAX Release 2.0 solutions from Samsung across its network by the end of 2010.
