Vodafone UK is dropping the “fair use” clause in its mobile data tariffs and will be setting fixed limits with higher charges for excess usage, notes Cellular News. In a statement on its own website discussion forums, Vodafone said that the changes were being made in order to “protect our network from data abuse.” From the beginning of June, monthly bundle customers will pay £5 for every 500MB after the first 500MB, while customers without a monthly bundle will pay £0.50 for every 10MB after the first 25MB.
