Virgin Mobile USA gained 216,000 net subscriber additions in Q4 2008, whilst churn was recorded at 4.8 percent. The company ended the year with nearly 5.4 million subscribers, which included customers gained in Virgin Mobile’s acquisition of rival MVNO Helio in August. The numbers are better than its third quarter results; the MVNO lost more than 3,000 customers during that period, and posted churn of around 5 percent.
