Verizon Wireless yesterday introduced Verizon Wi-Fi, a way for its mobile broadband customers to access thousands of Wi-Fi hotspots at no additional charge. Verizon Wi-Fi is available in locations across the US, including airports, bookstores, coffee shops, hotels and other public locations. The service is also available at locations in Canada and Mexico, so customers can reduce data roaming charges in those countries when connected to a Verizon Wi-Fi hotspot. The move comes as operators such as AT&T and O2 UK have publicly stated that their mobile networks are congested.
