Verizon Communications’ new CEO, Lowell McAdam, says he now expects to see Apple’s new iPhone 5 arrive in the autumn, reports Light Reading. Talking on Verizon’s second-quarter earnings call on Friday morning, McAdam said that he had initially expected a new iPhone this summer but now expects “a refresh … sometime this fall.” Verizon Wireless activated 2.3 million iPhones in Q2, while rival AT&T switched on 3.6 million.
