US operator Verizon Wireless is to join the Joint Innovation Lab (JIL) established by China Mobile, Japan’s Softbank and Vodafone (which co-owns Verizon Wireless) to help accelerate the uptake of mobile technologies on a mass-market scale, reports Cellular News.
