Ivan Seidenberg, chief executive of Verizon Communications, said that the operator’s fledgling LTE network could become a “modest substitute” for other home entertainment services including cable or internet services, Dow Jones Newswires reports. He said that new wireless products can eventually “cut into discretionary spending” on other services, especially those that are priced at a premium.
