Verizon Communications said today that its chief financial officer (CFO), John F. Killian, will retire at the end of the year. According to a Wall Street Journal report, Verizon said it would soon name a replacement, which would likely come from within the company. Killian, who joined the New York-based operator 31 years ago, was named its finance chief less than two years ago.
