The University of Southern California’s Center for Body Computing is the latest organisation to say it will set up an incubator backing start-ups with bright ideas in the mobile and digital health market.

CBC founder and executive director Dr Leslie Saxon said the initiative will be looking for ideas that can be scaled to solve various health problems, according to Mobihealthnews. Ideas might come from within USC itself, or from entrepreneurs who approach CBC for support, she said.

However, some voices have starting to express scepticism about the number of incubators and funds set up to target the health market.  The result might be funds end up being directed to companies without outstanding prospects, they say
