US district judge Lucy Koh has dismissed Samsung’s appeal against a pre-trial sales injunction on its Google-branded Galaxy Nexus smartphone, reports Reuters, after the device was deemed to infringe a patent related to Apple’s Siri voice-activated search function. A similar appeal for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 was rejected by Koh yesterday. Google told The Next Web that it is preparing a software update for the Galaxy Nexus which removes the functionality related to the disputed patent.
