A week after announcing operator deals in India and Japan, Twitter’s chief executive Evan Williams has told the Telegraph that Twitter services on mobile will produce the best business model for the service. “The best business models come from where people can create the most value,” he said. “I think Twitter can create the most value on mobile phones, because it is more immediate. Most people cannot live without their mobile phones over their PCs and we believe we can enhance people’s lives on the move.” The company is in talks with mobile operators all over the world to secure SMS deals, which allow people to post and receive tweets via text message, without the need for Web access.
