On the third anniversary of the launch of its Next G network, Australian operator Telstra has announced the network’s ongoing expansion has provided coverage to more than 100 locations that previously did not have mobile coverage. Looking ahead, Telstra said that in 2009-10 it is continuing to expand the breadth and depth of the Next G network with more than 270 new or improved sites scheduled for completion by June next year. This represents a further investment of approximately AUS$70 million in high-speed 3G services and wireless broadband.
