Telekom Slovenije recorded EUR12.9 million in net profit during the first quarter, down 46 percent compared to the same period last year, reports Telecompaper. The group’s sales amounted to EUR197.8 million, up by 6 percent in the period. Mobile unit Mobitel suffered from tough competition and changes to pricing and plan volumes. The number of subscribers increased by 4 percent, while the number of prepaid users fell by 16 percent. Mobile revenues fell 8 percent from a year ago to EUR99.2 million, and the net profit was EUR9.7 million.
