New Zealand operator Telecom is to conduct customer trials of an LTE network later this year, in preparation for its rollout of the new technology. It noted that the country’s Ministry of Economic Development has not yet announced its plans for a 700MHz frequency auction, but Telecom “nevertheless intends to continue on and build real-world experience of 4G operations through this trial.”
