Telecompaper reports that Telecom Italia reported first-half revenues of EUR13.95 billion, down 5.8 percent from a year earlier. EBITDA rose 3.1 percent to EUR5.67 billion, thanks to improvement at the domestic operations and growth in Brazil, and the margin rose to 40.6 percent from 37.2 percent a year ago. Net profit fell 13.7 percent to EUR964 million, mainly due to higher taxes. The company maintained its full-year outlook, including for EBITDA of EUR9.9-10 billion at its domestic operations and EUR3.6 billion in Brazil and net debt at around 2.9 times EBITDA at year-end.
