Session and mobile data management vendor Tekelec has acquired Camiant and Blueslice. US-based company Camiant is a policy management provider and touts Verizon Wireless, Vodafone and Sprint amongst its customers. Canada’s Blueslice is a subscriber data management vendor and has 19 customers worldwide. The Camiant deal is worth around US$130 million whilst Tekelec has acquired Blueslice for US$35 million. Tekelec claims the deals will ensure it is “the only player in the industry to uniquely blend and capture the synergies among session, policy, subscriber data management, network and business intelligence, and mobile messaging.”
