SingTel announced that Chumpol NaLamlieng is to step down as its chairman at its next AGM, scheduled for late July 2011. He will be replaced by Simon Israel, who has been a non-executive member of the SingTel board since 2003, with Israel retiring as executive director and president of Temasek Holdings, the controlling SingTel shareholder, in the interim.
