SingTel trumpeted that its group mobile customer base had reached 368 million at the end of September 2010, although this figure is based on an aggregate total which counts 100 percent of subscribers of subsidiaries and joint ventures as its own – on a proportionate basis, adjusted to reflect percentage shareholdings, the figure is 129.3 million, up 35 percent year-on-year. Most of SingTel’s mobile base comes from its stakes in India’s Bharti Airtel and Indonesia’s Telkomsel.
