SingTel named Hui Weng Cheong, coo of its Thai affiliate AIS, as chief executive operator designate for its international operations, ready to succeed incumbent Lim Chuan Poh, who is retiring at the start of December 2010. SingTel’s international operations include its 32% stake in India’s Bharti Airtel and its 35% stake in Indonesia’s Telkomsel, although his remit appears to omit Australia’s SingTel Optus.
