Cellular News reports that Kenyan mobile operator Safaricom has seen its subscriber base rise over the six months to October by 50.3 percent, from 7.956 million to 11.956 million, while turnover increased by 20 percent over the year-earlier period to KES34.5 billion (US$469 million).
