Safaricom FY profits drop 23%

Cellular News notes that Kenya’s Safaricom has seen a 23 percent fall in its full year profits to KES10.54 billion (US$136 million), from KES13.85 billion in the last fiscal year. The company said that the drop was due to increased depreciation in line with the increased capital investment. Revenues, however, were up by 14.8 percent to KES70.5 billion.
