Portuguese regulator Anacom has accepted the bid submitted for 450-470 MHz spectrum from Rede Nacional de Telecomunicacoes (RNT), reports Telecompaper. RNT is owned by UK-based Telephony Holdings (85 percent) and Portugal’s Radiomovel (15 percent) and was the only applicant for the spectrum license. RNT plans to invest €40 million and launch operations by the end of 2009.
