The results of the Hungarian spectrum auction that took place at the beginning of the year have been declared void by a court in the country, according to the Nepszabadsag newspaper.

The Budapest Metropolitan Court annulled the tender made by MPVI Mobil, a consortium of state-owned companies Magyar Posta, Hungarian Electricity Works and Hungarian Development Bank due to regulations forbidding state-owned companies from bidding.

The other winning operators – T-Mobile, Vodafone and Telenor-backed Pannon – will have to bid again for the spectrum they were awarded.
