TeleGeography reports that Japan’s leading mobile operator by subscribers, NTT Docomo, is reportedly considering a move to launch its brand on the US market as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO). If the company does launch services across the Pacific it is believed that it would seek a wholesale agreement to operate across the networks of either AT&T or T-Mobile USA, both of which have previous ties to the operator. NTT Docomo currently provides limited services in the US for Japanese expatriates.
