Apple is recruiting a team of lawyers who have fought for and against some of the world’s largest companies – such as Microsoft, Intel and Broadcom – as the Californian vendor begins its legal case with Nokia before the International Trade Commission (ITC) this week. A Bloomberg report notes Apple has hired some of the nation’s top patent lawyers as outside counsel, as well as recently adding an in-house attorney to focus on intellectual property litigation.

Apple’s  date with the ITC and Nokia this week is also a precursor to additional patent battles against Motorola and HTC. Indeed, Bloomberg notes that Apple has been the most-sued technology company since 2008, the year after the iPhone was introduced, ahead of Microsoft, HP and Dell.
