Qualcomm appointed Matt Grob as its EVP and CTO, stating that he will “shape Qualcomm’s technical path, help coordinate R&D activities across the company, drive development of next-generation wireless technologies, and represent the company’s technologies and direction with external audiences and universities.” Grob, who joined Qualcomm in 1991, replaces Roberto Padovani, who has “decided to transition out of his role as CTO,” but remains with the company as an EVP.
