Polish operators Polkomtel and Aero2 have chosen Nokia Siemens Networks to modernise and expand their GSM, HSPA+ and LTE networks in a joint agreement. The work should provide better coverage and advanced voice and data services for customers. “Polkomtel is currently looking into significant investments. I’m convinced that Nokia Siemens Networks, which has been our long-time partner, will allow us to meet any challenges”, said Polkomtel board member Tobias Solorz. Aero2 is one of the first operators in the world to build a combined TD-LTE and FDD-LTE network, with the help of Chinese infrastructure vendor Huawei.
