The Wall Street Journal notes that Qualcomm has disputed a draft order from Japan's Fair Trade Commission ordering it to modify its licenses with some Japanese companies and eliminate provisions they say force them to cross-license patents to Qualcomm on a royalty-free basis and prevent them from filing patent lawsuits against them.

A US International Trade Commission judge has issued an initial determination in favour of Nokia in a patent infringement case brought by mobile technology developer InterDigital.
