Press Release on http://www.movirtu.com

Movirtu is teaming up with the William Davidson Institute, a non-profit institute of the University of Michigan, to build metrics into the impact of mobile money services on the base of the pyramid. This work will help to establish a clear idea of how such services translate into the lives of the consumers.

Research done in Kenya by FSD showed that 84% of sampled M-Pesa users reported a large negative impact on their lives should they lose the service. Having a clearer understanding of such impacts will allow operators to tailor their services to the real needs of their consumers and push mobile money services further down the pyramid.
