Motorola Mobility has accused Apple of infringing six of its technology patents in a new lawsuit filed in a Florida federal court. The patents relate to wireless antennae, software, data filtering and messaging. Although the patents are already involved in another lawsuit between the companies, the fresh filing focuses on the iPhone 4S and iCloud online storage service. FOSS Patents’ Florian Mueller said the new suit must have been approved by Google as the merger agreement with Motorola states that the phone company requires Google’s consent to assert any new action regarding intellectual property rights. The two companies are also disputing patent rights in the US International Trade Commission and in Germany.
