The number of mobile phone users in the US who access health information via their handsets is on the rise according to figures from comScore. In the three months of September-November 2011, an average of 16.9 million users gained access to health and medical data via their handsets. This figure is a 125 percent increase over the same period in 2010. Also interesting is what comScore says about the demographic of users accessing mobile health information. The research firm says that 3 in 5, or 60 percent, were under the age of 35.
