There are many diverse barriers to overcome before mobile health technology is a mainstream service, according to a new feature video from Mobile Health Live. Interviewees including Unicef, Smart Communications, HP and NetHope list a wide range of challenges facing the industry. The disparate array of devices and software platforms is one obstacle, while other concerns include security, lack of awareness amongst stakeholders, and cost. “I can’t really pin it down to a single barrier,” comments Professor Krishnan Ganapathy, President at Apollo Telemedicine Networking Foundation. “I will say there are multiple barriers.” View the feature here.
