Mexican number three operator Grupo Iusacell’s future could be in jeopardy if the country’s antitrust regulator rejects its proposed partnership with broadcast and media company Grupo Televisa, reports Bloomberg. Televisa agreed to invest US$1.6 billion for a 50 percent stake in Iusacell in April 2011 but Francisco Borrego, chief legal counsel for billionaire Ricardo Salinas who controls Iusacell, said the operator could disappear if the investment doesn’t take place.
