LG will show of its first smartphone phone to run a quad-core processor at next week’s Mobile World Congress. The Optimus 4X HD runs on the latest Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android and uses a 1.5 Ghz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 chip featuring a 12-core graphics processing unit to support its True HD IPS display. The Tegra 3 chip also features a fifth battery saver core, for handling less demanding tasks such as active standby and music playback.
