Leading PC vendor Lenovo has launched an Android-based tablet called the LePad which could emerge as one of the major competitors to Apple’s iPad, particularly in the Chinese market where Lenovo is a powerful player. The new tablet is initially only on sale in China although it will be available in other markets by June. It has a 10.1-inch screen and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor.
