The Korea Times reports that nearly 1,000 subscribers in the country have filed a complaint with the Korea Communications Commission about KT’s plans to shut its 2G network. The KCC has previously approved the move, which will enable the operator to refarm its 1800MHz spectrum for 4G mobile broadband services. It was said that 340,000 customers are still connected to the older network, having launched a campaign to drive users to 3G handsets.
