The Sunday Times reports that Ireland is set to raise EUR500 million from the issue of high-speed broadband and 4G licences this year, with an auction set to take place by the end of July. In addition to existing operators O2 Ireland, Vodafone Ireland, 3 Ireland, and Meteor (Eircom), it was suggested internet companies UPC Ireland, Imagine Communications, and Digiweb may be set to participate.
