The Iraqi government has slapped fines totalling more than US$20 million on the three mobile operators in Iraq for poor service and not honouring contracts, reports AFP. Zain bore the brunt of the fines and was ordered to pay US$18.6 million, with Korek to pay US$1.2 million and Asiacell fined US$1.1 million.
