Indian health tablet launched

Go Tech Digital has launched an Android tablet in India which prominently features health apps as a key feature. The seven-inch Funtab Fit offers 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity and comes pre-loaded with health apps like Guide My Treatment which in addition to supplying the location of nearby doctors and hospitals, also enables users to make an appointment from their tablet. The tablet also comes pre-loaded with education and entertainment apps.

The Funtab Fit, which is available for Rs6,000 (US$107), offers Wi-Fi access at Ozone hotspots across the country. It runs on Android 4.0 and has a capacitive screen and a front-facing camera. The 3G connectivity comes through a dongle.
