The Wall Street Journal reports that Chinese vendor Huawei is making in-roads in the US, having won a contract to supply the network infrastructure for a mobile service that cable-TV provider Cox Communications plans to launch in some markets later this year. The vendor is also rumoured to be in the final running for a potentially bigger mobile WiMAX contract with Clearwire.
