The latest rumours surrounding the launch of a Facebook-branded device suggest Taiwanese vendor HTC will unveil two phones next month at the GSMA Mobile World Congress. London newspaper City AM is the source this time around, claiming that “the high-end smartphones will be the first to bear the Facebook branding and colours.” The report adds that the phones will run a tweaked version of Google’s Android operating system and will “prominently display users’ Facebook messages and newsfeed on the homescreen.”

The unconfirmed report follows speculation last September that Facebook is working with mobile handset manufacturer INQ Mobile on two smartphones. Such a deal would strengthen an existing relationship between the two companies that has seen INQ sell phones with Facebook features.
