Garmin and Asus have shown off their jointly developed Nuvifones at CommunicAsia in Singapore. Details of pricing and availability will be published in the second half of 2009, according to Telecompaper. The Nuvifone G60 focuses on location-based services, with functions such as SMS, e-mail, photos and social networking all integrated with location data. The 3.55 inch display has three primary icons – Call, Search and View Map – while secondary icons on the touch-screen can be customised by the user. The quad-band phone offers HSDPA at up to 3.6 Mbps, Wi-Fi and a 3 megapixel camera.
