Nextgen Healthcare Information Systems and Microsoft have jointly developed and launched the Nextgen Medicine Cabinet app, which they say is the first consumer-based health app designed for the Windows 8 platform.
The new app, which is free, enables users to create, store, track and share their medication records. It is available through the Microsoft app store. Users who download it will be able to create a list of their medications, including their dosage and schedule information. Once the user has created their own list, then notifications are automatically sent for each medication, so boosting compliance.
