Ericsson says it will this week break its own HSPA world record with the world’s first demonstration of HSPA multi-carrier MIMO technology, providing peak downlink data rates of 56Mb/s, at the CTIA Wireless exhibition. HSPA multi-carrier technology with MIMO, which is currently being standardised, is scheduled for commercial deployment in 2010. The vendor also today unveiled what it claims is its most advanced mobile broadband module, the F3607gw for HSPA/GPRS/EDGE networks, to be released in June.
