Finnish operator Elisa reported a pre-tax profit of EUR61 million for the second quarter of 2011, up 15.1 percent, on revenue of EUR378 million, up 3.8 percent. The company said its number of mobile subscriptions increased by 92,500 during the period, as it also improved the coverage of its 3G network across the country. Looking forward, it noted that “competition in the Finnish telecommunications market remains challenging.”
