Telecompaper reports that E-Plus and Ericsson are partnering with the German government to use digital dividend frequencies to provide HSPA mobile broadband services to communities currently without broadband connectivity. A pilot at a site north west of Waren in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern will use 790-862MHz frequencies and will run until the end of this year. Fifty households and companies within a range of 20km will be selected to participate.
