Jamaican mobile operator Digicel plans to launch WiMAX services for residential users in Jamaica with network rollout scheduled to start this month, reports Telecompaper. The network will initially cover 60 percent of the country’s population with coverage in all 14 parishes, to be later expanded across Jamaica depending on customer demand. The first services are scheduled to launch in the second quarter of 2010.
